Little Apple Treats
Have a few pickles left from the end of the season? We have the perfect quick and easy pickle recipe to help you use them up!
Ingredients
- 1 pound of cucumbers
- 1 small sweet onion
-
1 cup of Original Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 cup of water
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
-
Add your own personal touch using fresh or dried spices like fennel, coriander, pepper, ginger, mustard, garlic, dill, etc. You can use our Wildfire Apple Cider Vinegar in place of Original if you want an extra kick.
Directions
Cut the pickles into chips and onion to desired cut (we like ours Julienned) and pack into a mason jar along with any spices leaving about an inch at the top for your brine.
To make the brine bring the water, apple cider vinegar, sugar and salt to a boil on the stove until salt and sugar are dissolved. Pour this brine over your pickles and onions, making sure there are no air bubbles.
Let this cool a bit before setting in the fridge for at least 24 hours so the flavors soak in. Use them on bowls, salads, sandwiches, and more.
These will stay good in your fridge for a month. Enjoy!
